Vose Software is pleased to announce that ModelRisk for Insurance and Finance Standard Edition is now available. The Standard Edition includes all of the great functions available in the Professional Edition but does not include the developer’s pack.
Finally, there is an affordable advanced quantitative risk analysis software solution that works in conjunction with any Microsoft Excel add-in Monte Carlo simulation package such as Crystal Ball or @RISK. ModelRisk for Insurance and Finance Standard Edition allows for advanced stochastic analytics without having to go outside of Microsoft Excel via a high-priced stand-alone software package or without having to invest in time-consuming custom programming. With ModelRisk, you now have everything you need for building accurate, state-of-the-art risk analysis models in a fraction of the time previously required.
Download a FREE trial of ModelRisk from the Vose Software website.
The very extensive help-file of ModelRisk (which really is a world-class training tool) is now also freely available at http://www.vosesoftware.com/ModelRiskHelp/.
Please, contact us if you also like to see an online demo of ModelRisk or make contact with a local reseller of our software.

Here are three examples of interesting projects Vose Consulting has recently completed.
Cost Estimation
A well known design/build construction firm was interested in understanding better the risks and financial impacts associated with encountering unplanned events. Examples of these risks might be previously unknown underground obstacles, weather, contaminated soil, escalation, client changes, etc. Vose Consulting constructed a user friendly and transparent template model in which the client can capture and quantify, in collaboration with other stakeholders, the known project risks and their possible impacts. The client now employs this model as a tool for understanding their overall risk as well as identifying which risks have the most potential for serious project impact. In addition to building and delivering the model, Vose conducted a 2-day workshop with client personnel so that they fully understand how to apply and run the model. The client now has the knowledge and experience to not only use the model but make modifications if needed without re-engaging us.
Pharmaceutical Forecasting
Vose Consulting was approached by a pharmaceutical firm who needed a sales forecasting application that would allow them to forecast sales for new drugs. The client wishes to not only understand the expected sales of their different pharmaceutical product candidates but also the uncertainty and risk around those sales. The probabilistic model that Vose Consulting developed not only included all of this uncertainty, but also included medical risks as well as uncertainties around pricing in different geographical regions. Vose Consulting produced a high-quality model on budget and within time.
Food safety
One of the world's leading food producers has commissioned us to study the potential human health risk that could be associated with a natural bi-product of some of its foods. The aim of the project is to produce a scientific paper explaining our findings. No similar risk assessment has been published before and data in certain areas are quite limited. Our focus is to figure out what can be said that is supported by scientific opinion and data, and that provides useful information to the consumer and regulator.
Please join us in welcoming our new team members.
