Huybert Groenendaal manages Vose Consulting (US) LLC together with David Vose. Huybert is based in
Boulder, Colorado, USA. Huybert has used risk analysis modeling techniques in a broad range of consulting projects, in fields that, among others, include epidemiology, food safety, corporate finance, and management sciences. Huybert also organizes risk analysis training courses and was involved in the developed of ModelAssist, a unique and comprehensive risk analysis training and reference tool. In addition, Huybert is responsible for business development at Vose Consulting.
Huybert has great interest in modeling the epidemiological risks of animal diseases and the economical costs and benefits of animal disease control programs. Among others, his work on bovine Johne's disease (paratuberculosis) has supported decision-makers in the development of Johne's disease control programs in The Netherlands, the US and New Zealand. Huybert also worked on control programs and diagnostic tests for bovine virus diarrhea virus and on optimizing replacement decisions of dairy cattle. Huybert has presented his work at numerous international conferences and has published papers in several international journals.
In 2005, Huybert earned his PhD in Risk Analysis at the Business Economics Group at Wageningen University in The Netherlands with a thesis titled "Epidemiologic and Economic Risk Analysis of Johne's Disease Control". In addition, Huybert received his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and his Masters in Animal Sciences from Wageningen University in 1998.
