Experience

Gavin has worked as a risk analyst since 1995. His general career interest has tended to focus on the area of Decision Sciences - decision making under uncertainty and multi-attribute utility decision theory. This translates into a broad work focus which addresses the adequacy of business risk management, risk communication and controls. In specific terms his work is directed at:

1. The pursuit and development of more effective and efficient risk identification, quantification and analysis methodologies and their implementation.
2. Improvement of risk elicitation approaches and simulation.
3. The appropriate application of risk metrics by managers to achieve more effective decisions and better prioritisation of risks in strategy formulation and appropriate mitigation planning.
4. The audit and review of risk compliance procedures as required by internal rules or external regulatory bodies.

Gavin's main interest is in project risk. He has had substantial experience with risk audits and the risk management process.
