ModelRisk Academic Program
At Vose Software we have a very affordable educational program in which
graduate and post-graduate students at accredited universities can obtain
copies of ModelRisk for a nominal charge through a bulk order via their
university. We offer three types of academic licenses: faculty licenses;
lab licenses; and student licenses.
Vose Software offers one-year FREE faculty licenses for full-time faculty,
researchers, administrators, and support staff of accredited academic
institutions. With a faculty license you can install software on
individual faculty machines. The faculty licenses are fully functional with
no model or size restrictions.
Vose Software also provides help for lecturers on how to best teach risk analysis courses and how to incorporate ModelRisk into their course material. The following paper (Quick Start Guide for Lecturers) provides useful and practical ideas for lecturers on how to teach risk analysis techniques and methods and how to use ModelRisk for Insurance and Finance in a class room setting.
All ModelRisk academic software licenses are meant solely for use by faculty, staff, and students affiliated with recognized academic institutions. Academic verification is required at time of purchase for all academic products. See the specific license plans for details.

Price: Free
Duration: License expires after 1 year.
Requirement: Must be full-time faculty or staff at an academic institution. Partial-time appointments will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Verification: Verification of academic status required with at least two of the following:
- Original letter signed from department head/dean certifying full-time faculty status
- Original letter from University's human resources certifying full-time faculty status
- University website showing full-time status
Use: Intended for educational and research purposes only. If the software is used in for-profit research or consulting outside of the University, a commercial license of the ModelRisk software should be acquired.
Maintenance: Maintenance plan includes access to technical support, bug fixes and upgrades.

With a lab license you can install software on a computer teaching lab. The
lab licenses are fully functional with no model or size restrictions. With
the extended helpfile provided by ModelRisk, students can learn risk
analysis techniques in a computer lab.
All ModelRisk academic software licenses are meant solely for use by

academic products. Faculties may choose any of ModelRisk versions under the
same conditions described below.

Greatly discounted and affordable student licenses of the ModelRisk software are available to college students. Six-month student licenses are fully functional copies of the ModelRisk software with no restrictions or functional limits. An extensive help file of ModelRisk (called ModelAssist for ModelRisk) is included and contains useful and detailed explanations of all techniques, methods and tools available in the ModelRisk software. Student licenses are delivered via download only.
Student licenses are priced at a very deep discount from the commercial retail price.
